Historic Residence

For an exclusive, romantic and memorable wedding
What better setting to realize your dream of love?

The Castle has belonged to many illustrious Florentine families during the centuries, such as the Scolari, the family of the famous leader Pippo Spano and Picts, before moving into tthe hands of the Medici family.

By the middle of 1500, the current main building of Tizzano was rebuilt and expanded on the ruins of the ancient Castle. In 1585, it was donated by the Grand Duke Francesco de Medici to the well known sculptor Giambologna, and at his death passed to his pupil Pietro Tacca.

The accommodation outside the castle remained unchanged until 1793. During the Napoleonic period, the castle was bought by Prince Talleyrand, until the second half of 1800 when it was purchased by the Count Roberto Pandolfini and his wife Beatrica Princes Corsini. Since then, the Villa is still owned by the Counts Pandolfini.

In 1999, Elizabeth Pandolfini inherited the ownership of the castle from her father and began a long work of restoration and enhancement, in order to bring the structure back to its former glory.

Encompassed by the Chianti countryside, Castello Pandolfini offers the opportunity to live your wedding day in the castle, from the beginning to the end: celebration, reception and accommodation, like the best fairy-tale.

You have the possibility to celebrate your civil wedding in our estate, an intimate and welcoming place.

The castle has large indoor and outdoor areas, well fitted to organize the reception: the noble hall, the romantic park, the garden by the pool, and the restored cellar of the castle.

A civil officer from the Bagno A Rpoli municipality will be available to marry the couple in our estate. Send us a request.

Thanks to our long experience we will be happy to design all the arrangements with you, according to your wishes.
